“Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” Luke 1:45 NIV
This was spoken by Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist, to her cousin, Mary. God’s promise to Mary was the birth of our Savior, Jesus. While none of us will be delivering the savior into this world, we each have our own promises of God. We have promises for salvation and eternal life, but also promises for our fear, guilt, loneliness, courage, hope, our children and many more! There are over 7,000 promises in the Bible and some that are spoken directly to us. God never breaks His promises, but we must do our part as well. We must keep our faith and believe.
Today, pray about the promises God has given you. It may seem that the promises are out of your grasp or are taking too long to be delivered. Trust me, better yet, trust God that your promises will be delivered, exactly when they should be, and you will be blessed!
“You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.” Luke 1:45 NLT
