October 20 - Worship

October 3, 2024 5:01 PM

Romans 12:1“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”

Singing praises, lifting our hands, and kneeling before the Lord are all ways to physically express worship, but offering ourselves as a “living sacrifice” means worshiping God every moment of every day. God created us as physical beings, and when we’re aware of His presence in our lives, every single movement and gesture of our bodies can be an
act of worship. Worship is how we respond to what the Lord has done for us, and even simple actions in our daily life can express how thankful we are. You don’t need to know how to play an instrument or sing well to worship God; every breath and muscle movement we have is a testament to His glory. Cooking food for your family, laughing with friends, driving to work, offering someone a smile and kind word–when we give all of ourselves to God each day, every action in our lives can be used to worship Him. In Him we LIVE, and MOVE and have OUR BEING!
